Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation

The daily wind and grind weighing down on your bones? Do your knees protest every time you try taking the stairs? And does your back beg you for attention every time you lift something even slightly heavy? Don’t be surprised if your body acts in this way. It’s your body’s way of telling you that something is not right. And that it is high time we paid sincere heed to your body’s desperate calls for help. Physical therapy is a health service provided to people who have had some form of physical dysfunction/surgery/injury. It helps in rehabilitating them and also to develop, maintain, and restore maximum movement and functional abilities. It helps alleviate pain and restore normal movement and function patterns, enabling the body to come back to its natural state.

Extending World-Class Care

This service caters to all individuals/athletes who have sustained injuries while playing, gyming or simply walking or jogging and is also beneficial for post-surgery patients. Sports rehabilitation helps in the treatment of pain and catalyses return to normal functioning. Early injury recognition or detection helps in the treatment. Along with the treatment specific strengthening and flexibility exercises in conjunction with tips provided by a trained kinesiology’s helps in quicker recovery. Progressive exercises are included in rehabilitation programmes to ensure that the injury site returns to a fully functional state.

This service caters to those individuals who are suffering from musculoskeletal imbalance, resulting in low back pain or any other kind of joint and muscle pain. The therapist uses specific hands-on techniques, including but not limited to manipulation/mobilization to diagnose and treat soft tissues and joint structures to modulate pain. This increases the range of motion (ROM) and reduces or eliminates soft tissue inflammation, thus, inducing relaxation, improving contractile and non-contractile tissue repair, extensibility, and/or stability, thereby, facilitating movement and improving function.

This service caters to individuals having vertigo (reeling of the head during movement), disequilibrium, and gait disturbances. The therapist uses a specialized set of exercises to improve the adaptive functions of the vestibular system, which help in overcoming the lack of balance, thus, helping the affected person lead a more normal life.

Occupational therapy is a health service that caters to help people of all age groups who have had some form of physical dysfunction/injury. It helps to improve their ability when it comes to performing tasks in their daily living and working environment. It also helps patients not only to improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities but also to compensate for the loss of function.
