About Doctor
Dr. Niket Arora is a Consultant in the Department of MICS-Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery at Medica Superspecialty Hospital, Kolkata.
He has practiced at R.N Tagore Hospital, Kolkata, followed by Seven Hills Hospital, Mumbai, and Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Maharashtra. Subsequently, he joined BM Birla Heart Hospital, Kolkata, and currently serves at Medica Superspecialty Hospital, Kolkata.
He obtained his foundational training in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from The Madras Medical Mission, Chennai, a renowned institution recognized by the National Board of Examination for postgraduate and postdoctoral training.
This comprehensive program encompassed a direct five-year training period, with rotations spanning General Surgery, Cardiology, Thoracic Surgery, Adult and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, and an additional year dedicated to a subspecialty within Cardiac Surgery.
Dr. Arora’s expertise extends across a wide array of open heart procedures, including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (on-pump and off-pump), Valve repairs and replacements, Aortic surgeries, Post MI VSD closure, LV aneurysm repair, minimally invasive cardiac surgeries, and a full spectrum of simple and complex congenital cardiac surgeries, including heart transplants.
In addition to his surgical responsibilities, he actively participates in OPD clinics, ward rounds, academic discussions, post-surgical ICU care, and contributes to the education and training of nursing and paramedical staff, physician assistants, and junior residents.
